The Grade 7 Halloween themed entrepreneur's day took place on Friday the 1st November. The Grade 7’s sold Halloween inspired treats, among them were spider web donuts, skeleton cats, eyeball cupcakes and lots more.
On Tuesday, 15th October Thalia Vellios and Kathy Seintis with her team of “Santa warriors” hosted an early Christmas party for CityKidz and other children living in the area in and around the inner-city. This fantastic event is hosted annually and funded by the MMID in Frederick Street.
Mrs Strydom and Mrs Heine with the rest of the Grade 2 teachers organised a spectacular Civvies Day. The idea of the Neon Civvies Day on the 25th October was to embrace the colours that come with Spring, as well give back to our Mother Earth.
On Saturday the 19th October our Grade 1 and Grade 2, prospective drummies, were looking forward to a day of participating in a coaching session with Mr Damean Tibbets. Mr Damean Tibetts is the development officer for Gauteng Majorette and Cheerleading Association (G.M.C.A).
Our learners competed in the "Dreams come true classroom competition", decorating their classrooms according to a theme of their choosing. The judges were absolutely impressed by the extraordinary effort made in creating such wonderful, exciting and motivating work spaces.
Heritage Day on 24 September recognises and celebrates the cultural wealth of our nation. South Africans celebrate the day by remembering the cultural heritage of the many cultures that make up the population of South Africa. CityKidz learners came dressed in their heritage regalia.
