SPORTS DAY 2015

06 February 2015

A large number of parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters came to watch what turned out to be a glorious sports day. The venue was just perfect and it felt like a real family day outing. (Mom’s and Dad’s races were ‘particularly exciting and they were able to score house points.)

Our juniors were very skilful when participating in the egg and spoon races, the bean bag races, and the tricky sack races.  All our girls and boys put in strong performances throughout. We had many champions on the day, not all of them won races, but the dedication and commitment they showed  towards their teams and fellow athletes was great to watch. All our participants were determined to score points for their houses. We finished our sports day with very exciting relay races. The weather had taken a turn for the worse just before the end of the races but that did not put a damper on the  wonderful day. Those children who did not participate were great supporters cheering and chanting loudly for their house mates. Well done to all our children who all did their very best! The final score - Eland was in 1st place, Roan 2nd and Impala 3rd.

We would like to thank all our  spectators, that came to support us and all of our teachers who helped at the event. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and credit has to go to all the teachers who made it an incredible, unforgettable experience for us all.

To Mrs Abdulla, Mr Mlotshwa and Mr Quarcoo your help was greatly appreciated.

And finally...

A SPECIAL THANK YOU to Mr Inderien Govender, Victor, Thomas the JCC groundsman and Amon the JCC caretaker. Without their kindness the day would not have been possible.
