A perfect sunny day, crisp, clear blue water, amazing scenery and the sound of splashes, laughter and joyful squeals from happy children. This describes the fantastic day that our Grade 3 learners experienced at Pines Resort the first Friday of the term.
It took just about an hour to get there. Our busses were filled with excitement, anticipation and the occasional “Ma’am, are we almost there?” Once we arrived, we could not keep them out of the pools! It was a delightful sight to see our learners thoroughly enjoying themselves in the water and even taking on some daunting water slides. The army of lifeguards present, and vigilant staff added additional safety which put everyone at ease. The expression – time flies when you are having fun, couldn’t be truer, soon we had to pack up and head back. Everyone reluctantly got out of the pool and gathered their belongings and as is the CityKidz way, not a shred of paper or litter was left behind.
We are so proud of our learners for displaying exemplary manners and responsibility. What a wonderful way to start the term!
