CityKidz Achieves Major Success, ranking 3rd out of 255 schools in Matific Olympiad Competition. CityKidz, a team of young, passionate learners, recently achieved a major milestone by securing 3rd place in the highly competitive Matific competition. They competed against over 30 000 learners from around the world. This remarkable accomplishment brought pride to our school.
Matific, an international educational competition, challenges learners with engaging Mathematical problems that enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Competing on such a grand scale, CityKidz demonstrated exceptional Mathematical abilities, teamwork and dedication. Their achievement was celebrated in style at school. The school’s sparkling trophy, along with rewards from Standard Bank and Oxford Press, was welcomed by excited learners and teachers. CityKidz leaners proudly paraded around the school with the trophy, receiving cheers and applause from their peers. The festive atmosphere reflected the sense of pride felt throughout the school as everyone celebrated this significant victory.
In a special assembly held to honour their success, CityKidz learners shared their journey in the competition, challenges they overcame and how their teamwork led them to the top. Lisa, a publisher from Oxford Press, congratulated our learners on their remarkable achievement. She encouraged learners to continue pursuing their education with passion and determination, emphasizing the importance of knowledge in shaping their futures. Lisa also spoke about the endless opportunities that education can unlock, urging them to stay curious, work hard and never underestimate the power of their abilities.
