Carnival Fundraiser

27 May 2015

The Carnival atmosphere was magnificently recreated by the colourful decorations, black and white covered chairs, popcorn and balloon centrepieces, carnival stalls, carnival flame thrower, clowns, jugglers, man on stilts and so much more.

The most important elements to any carnival are, of course, Carnival beads, feathers and masks. Many of the guests wore the most colourful and elaborate costumes to further enhance the carnival atmosphere. Prizes were awarded to the best-dressed guests.

The CityKidz choir performed two songs which the crowd thoroughly enjoyed. The girls sang Carnival Nights to the music of Grease’s Summer Loving and the school song.

Terence Bridgett, was the Master of Ceremonies. Terence kept the crowd entertained with is over- the- top-humour and he helped coax the audience to buy raffle tickets and auctioned off the fabulous prizes. The carnival revellers were also entertained by, Magician extraordinaire, Mr Colin Underwood. He had many tricks up his sleeve!

Thanks to all who spent their time and donated funds for our event.  The Carnival fundraising event raised funds which will be used to build a new school hall at CityKidz - a fun night was had by all!
