Grade 3 trip to the Lion and Safari Park

Our annual Grade 3 trip to the Lion and Safari Park never disappoints. There is never a dull moment throughout the day.

We wasted no time upon arrival and were guided into the tour buses. Off we drove into the game reserve viewing a variety of wild animals and learning a great deal about them from our Tour Guides. These animals include white and savannah lions, blue wildebeests, cheetahs, ostriches and so much more!

Did you know that wild dogs can hear your tummy rumbling from 100m away and that they hunt for animals with the weakest heart rate! From the game drive we were served with delicious boerewors rolls and cold drinks. We got the opportunity to pose for pictures beside George the Lion (in front of the green screen) George is one of the oldest lions on the reserve.

One of the highlights of the day was feeding the friendly giraffe whom the learners fondly named Milla. Milla seemed quite at ease as the learners fed and patted her.

We are blessed to be able to go on this trip annually and we always look forward to it. Thank you, parents and management, for making the magic happen!
