Pallet and Paint Mural Challenge 2018

Pallet and Paint Challenge

Great news … it’s a whole-school competition again !!! The Pallet and Paint Mural Challenge is aimed at taking something ordinary – pallets and re-purposing them to create colourful art pieces.

At CityKidz we want to encourage and showcase how recycling can transform our environment. All you need to do is to create an awesome, beautiful wall mural made from pallets.
The project also will focus on providing a minimum of 10 pallets per class. Each class must choose a theme. Each pallet will represent a character from the theme. The competition starts now, because over the next couple of months you need to encourage children to obtain at least 10 pallets per class, paint and varnish. How you go about this is entirely up to you, but its really important to get our parents involved. Each class will be allocated a wall space in which to hang their panels of pallets. We will choose areas that can showcase your classes’ work and liven up our environment.

Once again, I will invite external judges for the competition to ensure impartiality and fairness. The criteria on how The Pallet and Paint Challenge will be judged are indicated below. I have also included some photographs to inspire you in creating wonderful Pallet and Paint Murals.

There will be prize money for the winning teachers and a party for the winning classes!! I’m sure you will all be buzzing with great ideas on how you can enhance our environment. Parents we need your help! Please contact your child’s class teacher and provide input and offer assistance!
