GRADE RR to GRADE 7

CityKidz provides quality care and education to children from Grade RR to Grade 7.

The admission requirements for children in Grade RR to Grade 1 are as follows:

  • Grade RR: The age is 3 years turning four by 30 June in the year of admission.
  • Grade R: The age is four years turning five by 30 June in the year of admission.
  • Grade 1: The age is age five years turning six by 30 June in the year of admission.

If parents feel their children are not yet ready for school, they are allowed to admit them at an older age – five turning six for Grade R, and six turning seven for Grade 1. Schools-readiness tests can be conducted to determine if a later admission would be in the child's best interests.
