The Grade 5's were given a practical task to complete at home and provide evidence. They were given bonus points to prove that the experiment was conducted.

Every child submitted the practical. And many provided excellent evidence.

Electrical Circuits

This is the work that was done by our Grade 5 learners. Experimenting that electrical appliances have circuits that take electrical energy from the energy source like battery or mains electricity to where it is needed.

Learners had fun time learning about how data is represented using pie charts .They questioned why it's called a pie chart, "why not a pizza chart ?" , "because it looks like a pizza".

Natural Science and Technology

Grade 5 Natural Science and Technology project: Processing Materials. Learning how mixing a little water with a powdery solid like flour, can give you a paste that can be used as a glue. We used this homemade goue to paste our favourite picture or photo in our workbooks.
