Appreciation is the recognition and enjoyment of the good qualities of someone or something. Appreciation can also mean a rise in value and acknowledgement of the benefit that one has received.

Learners investigate to see if yeast needs warmth to grow. Sugar and warm water (37 degrees Celsius) are food for yeast. Yeast is alive. The dry yeast that you find in packets, and jars is still "alive".

The Grade four learners are very excited about their blooming tyre garden. It seemed like punishment in the beginning when they were asked to bring soil for its inception but they are very proud of their gardens. It has become the first site to view every morning before lessons start.
