Tens are tall

Grade 2s are learning place value through song, play, blocks and bottle tops. 

The song we sing to remember tens and units goes like so.. 

I don't know 

But I have been told 

Tens are tall

and ones are small

First you count up 

all the tens

Then add the ones

on to the end!
