We had a great fun at our parent greet and meet day.
There's nothing quite like the hustle and bustle of being back at school. Many parents and children were feeling excited and maybe a few a little sad because the holidays are over. Some of our new children were probably feeling nervous or a little scared on the first day of school. They were not only "newbies", but had to experience many new things: new teachers and new friends. Luckily, these "new" worries only stick around for a little while!
The Grade RR and R's had the Around the World Musical. It was a wonderful celebration of our little one's achievements this year.
Our learners did some creative and artistic designs for the Paint and Pallet Competition.
Our 10th Birthday Carnival was a day to remember.
CItyKidz has formed a drummy squad. The squad consists of 22 Grade 1 girls.
Friday, 19 October, was Career Dress Up Day for the Grade 7’s. A great effort was made by children and their parents, to wear the attire of their chosen professions. Some hired costumes, others made the entire outfit, still others bought required items. It was evident that everyone had given time, care and effort to their dress-up. It turned out really well. Thank you to all.
Spring Civvies Day was a colourful fun event.
Shared Writing is an instructional approach to teach writing to children by writing with them. The idea is to teach writing through writing. In Grade 2A we used this approach to create a recipe for Vanilla Cupcakes.
