Our 10th Birthday Carnival was a day to remember.
CItyKidz has formed a drummy squad. The squad consists of 22 Grade 1 girls.
Friday, 19 October, was Career Dress Up Day for the Grade 7’s. A great effort was made by children and their parents, to wear the attire of their chosen professions. Some hired costumes, others made the entire outfit, still others bought required items. It was evident that everyone had given time, care and effort to their dress-up. It turned out really well. Thank you to all.
Spring Civvies Day was a colourful fun event.
Shared Writing is an instructional approach to teach writing to children by writing with them. The idea is to teach writing through writing. In Grade 2A we used this approach to create a recipe for Vanilla Cupcakes.
In Grade 2A we rocked around the clock to learn time.
We used gummed paper to create beautiful flowers. The children had so much fun to folding, licking and sticking the different coloured shapes.
We have introduced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at CityKidz. Mr Mark Sifris and his two coaches Storm and Zulu from Gracie Barra Illovo - Jiu-Jitsu and Judo Studio worked with selected Grade 1 learners.
The Grade Ra's had great fun making awesome dinosaurs.
Mandela Day was commemorated in style as CityKidz learners and parents again showed their unbelievable, generous and compassionate collective spirit.
