Start of Term 2 for Grade R & RR

Grade RR and R learners started the new term with so much excitement despite the chill in the air as winter approaches. It was heartwarming to see the many smiles between teachers and learners on day one of Term 2.

Term 2 is filled with exciting new activities for our little learners - Grade R will attend Assembly each Friday as it forms part of preparation for Grade One. This is one of the changes they will adapt to in Grade One next year - the inclusion of the Grade R learners makes them feel special and they are proud to share their stories of attending Assembly in our school hall. Grade RR will begin attending Assembly in Term 3.

Term 2 begins with the "Friends" theme. It is a necessary life skill that we teach our little learners the basics on how to be a good friend, thus ensuring they foster healthy friendships that could last a lifetime. "The only way to have a friend is to be a friend". At CityKidz, we encourage strong bonds of friendship from an early age. Part of being a good friend is to know two magic words "Please and Thank you!" These two magic words are not only used when talking to an adult but to our friends as well. Good Manners are important to any friendship as it shows respect toward each other.

We are so proud of our little learners, even though COVID19 protocols have been relaxed - they still adhere to wearing their masks diligently and washing their hands on a regular basis. They just love their friend, Mr. Sanitiser as he helps to keep them safe in their learning environment at CityKidz. A big shout out to Mr. Sanitiser!

The Grade RR and R teachers would like to thank parents for their ongoing support and we know you will continue to support our little learners throughout Term 2 as we Strive To Achieve each day! We look forward to our Grade RR and R Parents visit on the 9th of April and we cannot wait for you to receive your learner's Term 1 progress report and wonderful photo package.
